The shop carries an incredible selection of new and used surfboards, wetsuits, leashes, traction, board shorts, surf clothing, sandals, other surf equipment and of course the coveted Encinitas T-shirts and hoodies. Part of the success of the shop is certainly the selection but also the friendly, dedicated staff, who are helpful, friendly, and exceptional at assisting customers in all things surf.

About the Owner

After witnessing the closing of the surf shop where they had both worked, Marc Adam called his friend John Kies who was shaping surfboards in Hawaii. A few months later the two friends and local surfers, opened Encinitas Surfboards. From the opening in 1975 till today, this partnership has resulted in the icon that is Encinitas Surfboards. Marc has been the driving force behind the retail operations and key to the store adapting to the many changes in the surf market over the years. John has become a highly sought after master surfboard shaper. Together they make an epic team.
